Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026

California Autism Pathways to Success, LLC, doing business as CAPS Centers (“CAPS,” “we,” “us”), respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, capscenters.org (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers our website only. If you or your child become a client, the health information we collect as part of your care is protected under federal and California health privacy laws (including HIPAA) and is described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which we also provide at intake. Please do not send medical or diagnostic details through the forms on this Site.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, phone number, email address and the message you write.
  • Job interest forms (BCBA and Behavior Technician): first and last name, email, phone number, and, if you choose to provide them, your city and availability.
  • Online payments: your name, email address for a receipt, the client name and invoice number (optional), what the payment is for, and the amount. Your card details are entered directly into Square’s secure payment field and go straight to Square; CAPS never sees or stores your full card number.
  • Email and phone: anything you send us when you contact us directly.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the date and time. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and troubleshoot problems. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or third-party analytics that track you across other websites.

Cookies

CAPS does not set its own cookies, and we do not use cookies for advertising, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and, on the payment page, our payment processor (Square) may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies to keep the Site secure, prevent fraud and process payments. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the payment page may not work properly if you do.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your questions and schedule consultations
  • To review job interest submissions and contact candidates
  • To process payments and send receipts
  • To operate, maintain and protect the Site
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the Site and processes the payment request on our behalf
  • FormSubmit — delivers contact and job-interest form submissions to our email
  • Square — processes card payments (see Square’s privacy notice at squareup.com/legal)
  • Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces used on the Site; your browser connects to Google to load them

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our clients, staff or others, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business.

4. How Long We Keep Information

We keep form submissions and correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you, consider your application, or meet legal and accounting requirements, and then delete them. Payment records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes.

5. Security

The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and card payments are handled by Square, a PCI-compliant payment processor. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.

6. Children’s Privacy

Although our services support children and teens, this Site is intended for parents, guardians, adult clients and job applicants. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Choices and California Privacy Rights

  • You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you from this Site, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-888-ABA-4945. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
  • Do Not Track: because we do not track visitors across other websites, the Site does not change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
  • California residents may request information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.

8. Links to Other Websites

The Site may link to other websites, such as Square or program resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
