Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
About CAPS Centers
California Autism Pathways to Success (CAPS) Centers was founded by a family who has walked this path - our founders are parents of a child who received ABA therapy, and that experience shapes everything we do. We provide ABA therapy, PEERS social skills training, and family life coaching to children on the autism spectrum and their families, delivered where families actually live: in the home.
About This Role
As a BCBA at CAPS Centers, you’ll hold full clinical authority over your caseload: conducting assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, and supervising a team of Behavior Technicians (BTs) who deliver direct 1:1 services. You’ll work closely with families in their homes, train caregivers to carry strategies into daily life, and partner with our PEERS and life-coaching team for the kids who need more than ABA alone. Your caseload is sized so you can actually do the job well.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill assessments for new and ongoing clients
- Design, implement, and continuously refine individualized ABA treatment plans
- Provide direct clinical supervision and training to RBTs/Behavior Technicians
- Deliver in-home ABA services alongside your supervision duties
- Train and coach parents/caregivers on implementing behavior strategies at home
- Track and analyze client progress data; prepare documentation for internal and payer (billing) purposes
- Collaborate with our PEERS and life-coaching team for whole-family, coordinated care
- Maintain compliance with BACB ethical and professional standards
What We’re Looking For
- Current, active BCBA certification (required)
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
- Experience developing and supervising ABA treatment for children of varying abilities
- Comfort training and mentoring RBTs/BTs and communicating with families of varying familiarity with ABA
- Reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to pass a TB test, immunization check, and criminal background check
- A genuine desire to work in a collaborative, mission-driven practice.
Why CAPS Centers
- Manageable caseloads and real clinical autonomy - you set and manage the treatment plan.
- Competitive pay plus mileage reimbursement for home-based travel (CA Labor Code §2802)
- W-2 employment with the stability and benefits that come with it
- Direct input into a practice - your voice shapes how we grow
- Monday–Friday schedule
